Notes: A poster for a traveling Puerto Rican production of the classic play Fuenteovejuna by the Spanish playwright Lope de Vega. The play was performed in schools throughout Puerto Rico in 1970 by a company of drama teachers (Compañía Teatral de Maestros) that provided training for instructors in the public schools.

The poster artist, Isabel Bernal (b. 1935), is a well known artist affiliated with DIVEDCO (División de Educación de la Comunidad / the Puerto Rican Division of Community Education), an organization that produced hundreds of silkscreen posters for events on the island.
Roughly 19 by 27 inches. Serigraph (silkscreen) in three colors.
Edition + Condition: Poster image fine; surface loss to the verso around the border where adhesive was removed; not affecting the front (recto) of the poster.
