Notes: An 1886 boudoir cabinet card albumen photograph of a girl and a woman seating in front of the Santa Cruz Giant, a large redwood tree.

The image, 8-1/4 by 5 inches, is mounted on Reese back (10 by 7 inches), with gilt stamping on the front and a "notice to tourists" about attractions in the region printed on the back (verso). The copyright date is 1886, but this image has some damage in the negative and seems likely to have been printed slightly later.

Edition + Condition: Corners of the mount rounded with wear; print missing a small piece from the white border. Mount a bit tanned; generally very good.
