This copy has a long inscription to one of the leading public propoents of evolutionary theory, Stephen Jay Gould: "Dear Professor Gould, your writings probably influenced this work more than any other (except perhaps those of Henry Morris!) Thanks for the inspiration, and your very real actions in 'holding back the Dark.' Ray Eve." This copy came from Gould's Harvard office library, which was acquired by my previous shop, Eureka Books, and then by me.
