Notes: A set of signed copies of the third book of the Berrybender narratives: a trade first edition; an advance reading copy (ARC) in glossy wrappers with a design similar to the final dust jacket; and an uncorrected proof in printed yellow wrappers.

This set was assembled by a Texas collector who commissioned a custom black-cloth clamshell box for the three books. The ARC and the proof were issued prior to the first edition for publicity purposes.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing of the novel). All three books are fine; the dust jacket of the first edition is also fine. All three books are signed by McMurtry. A nice one-and-done grouping, in an attractive clamshell from the collection of Tom Garner.
