Notes: A very good signed first edition of this monograph of the Colombian muralist's work.
Illustrated with more than 100 reproductions and details of Gómez's work, many of them in color, including two double-fold-out (4 pages) reproductions of murals. Unpaginated, but about 200 pages. Roughly 10 by 12-3/4 inches.
This first edition was limited to 3500 copies (there was a second edition in 1986); this is one of 500 that were numbered. It's possible that the 500 numbered copies were signed, as this one is. Or perhaps they are printed on better paper. The colophon is somewhat vague on this point.
Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A very good copy in a very good, mildly spine-faded dust jacket with some creasing to the top edge. This copy is signed by the artist on the half-title page; this is copy 18 of 500 numbered books. A sheet (two pages) with an essay entitled "Pedro Nel Gómez o la autenticidad" is laid in.
