A label from Cinnamon Productions, a film company in New York City, is affixed to the top of the front pastedown. Below this Crews inscribed the book to his friend and fan, Tom Garner of Texas, "Tomas: Que tal amigo, mio? The director Bruce Dickson has the book now. We'll see—later bro. Harry Crews." IMDB shows a film based on this novel as "in development."
