Edition + Condition: First edition. A fine copy in a very near fine slipcase. This is copy 7, from the collection of Tom Garner, late of Texas. There are quite a few variants for this book. In this copy, the spine is stamped in silver. The binding is ribbed black cloth at the spine and a synthetic medium blue paper with a vertical line pattern. An image is inset onto the front board. The endpapers are black with a blind-stamped swirl pattern. The tissue leaf over the frontispiece image is translucent white. The bookmark and headbands are light blue. The colophon page gives the edition size as 522 (there are also colophons that state only 300 copies were made).
