With the Proof, Signed by Bradbury
Graven Images. The Best of Horror, Fantasy, and Science-Fiction Film Art From the Collection of Ronald V. Borst [Trade + Proof]
Publication: New York: Grove Press, 1992. First Edition.
Notes: Introduction by Stephen King. Essays by Forrest J. Ackerman, Clive Barker, Robert Bloch, Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, and Peter Straub.
Proof: Orange printed wrappers, publishing the text only, no illustrations. Octavo size. 113 pages.
Trade: 9-1/4 by 12-1/4, illustrated throughout with color images of movie posters. 240 pages.
Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing stated, with a numberline ending in 1). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket preserving the original price on the flap. Inscribed, "To Tom Garner! Merry Christmas '92. Ray Bradbury." The proof is also fine and is signed on the front cover, "Ray Bradbury Nov. 9, 1993."
The two books are housed in a custom clamshell box commissioned by Garner. I'm going to make a completely unsupported claim here that Bradbury did not sign many proofs of this book.
