Notes: A collection of essays, some previously published in Rolling Stone, Playboy, and other periodicals. Present here are a first edition and a proof, both signed.

Edition + Condition: First edition of the final book (first printing with "First published" on the copyright page and no indication of later printings). A very good copy in a like dust jacket, signed by Kesey in two colors with a stamp of a frog embellished in marker. There is a shallow band of staining at the base of the boards. The proof is near fine, signed by Kesey in fluorescent ink. These books came from the collection of Tom Garner and are housed in a black-cloth clamshell box. The clamshell has faded to gray at the spine.
