Notes: First edition of this scarce collection of Portuguese poetry, inscribed by the author in 1937 to the "heroico Exercito Espanol" (the heroic Spanish Army, probably meaning the Nationalist army, led by Francisco Franco) during the Spanish Civil War.
Mouzinho de Albuquerque (1870–1961) privately published this collection of short, humorous, rhyming poems. OCLC records only two institutional holdings, both in European collections.
The author was a philanthropist and writer who founded Portugal's first cancer charity.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). Generally very good despite an adhesive residue streak on the front cover and small inked x's below verse on page 11. Inscribed by the author on a section divider following the title page.
