Notes: The signed issue of this eighteen-story survey of Shepard's fantasy writing, limited to 200 copies. The book is accompanied by a second volume, Skull City and Other Lost Stories, that collects 10 stories not previously published in book form.

Skull City was only available with The Best Of... and is therefore notably scarce.

Edition + Condition: First editions (first printings) of both volumes. The Best Of is fine in a fine dust jacket, numbered 8 and signed by Shepard. Skull City is a fine trade paperback, still sealed in the publisher's shrinkwrap. Both volumes are housed in a cloth slipcase, as issued. This set comes from the lifetime subscription collection of the late Tom Garner, of Texas.
