Notes: A view of Eastern Oregon town of La Grande, in Union County, taken from the hills to the west of the downtown area. The Foley Hotel, with its distinctive Queen Anne turret is visible at the left center of the image, dating this view to after 1891.

A printing-out paper print, 8-1/8 by 5 inches on a plain card mount with no photographer's markings. The image is captioned in the negative.

Edition + Condition: A nice and uncommon imaged, with good contrast, possibly printed on blue-toned paper to suggest the sky in the background.
