Edition + Condition: First edition (stated). A very good copy (some foxing to endpapers) in a very good dust jacket with minor loss at the corners. This copy is inscribed two times, first in the year of publication on the front free endpaper, "For James Keeton—a good old boy, so Army Rust tells me. Elmer Kelton. 12/9/79." Kelton again inscribed the book on the half-title: "For Tom [Garner]—A Kelton collector—which makes him a good old boy—Elmer Kelton. 11/18/93."
