Notes: One of 200 signed copies of this popular and critically acclaimed novel about a Wall Street investment banker who moonlights as a serial killer. The novel was dropped by its original publisher and came out in the US as a paperback original in 1991. It became a bestseller and the basis for a film adaptation starring Christian Bale.

This is the first American hardcover edition, which includes an introduction by John Langan and an interview with the author. Ben Baldwin contributed illustrations, several of which are reproduced in color.

The edition was limited to 200 copies for sale, signed by Ellis, Langan, and Baldwin.

435, [5] pages plus the limitation leaf. 6-1/4 by 9-1/4 inches. Bound in black cloth stamped in silver on the spine with a mounted paper title label on the front cover. Note: the table of contents incorrectly states that the introduction begins on page 2; it actually starts on page 7.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A near fine copy in a near fine dust jacket (two small spots on the About the Author page, a bit of shelf wear along the bottom edge of the jacket). This is copy 30, from the collection of the late Tom Garner, of Texas. A copy of the title label with a Post-It note with the number 30 written on it is also laid in.
