Edition + Condition: First edition (probably: as with many books published for children, the firsts are tricky to identify. This copy has the Library of Congress number on the copyright page and the code 7042A at the bottom of the front flap; and the book has a two-part binding, green cloth-patterned paper over a black-cloth spine, stamped in gilt, which matches the points of a first edition. However, the book is price-clipped, so the price can't be confirmed). A very good copy in a very good, edge-worn dust jacket.
