Classic History of Gunfighters, Signed
Triggernometry: A Gallery of Gunfighters with Technical Notes on Leather Slapping as a Fine Art, Gathered from Many a Loose Holstered Expert Over the Years
Publication: New York: Press of the Pioneers, 1934. First Edition.
Notes: Biographical sketches of Western American gunfighters. "This book has become a standard work and is reliable on most points"—Adams, Six-guns, 530.
xx, 441, [1: blank] pages.
Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing). A very good copy in medium weave blue cloth stamped in black. Lacking the dust jacket. This copy is inscribed, "for Herbert G. Miles, with the cordial hope that the contents will reflect, perhaps expand, the Denver history he knows. Eugene Cunningham. El Paso, March 9, 1935 [brand mark]". It appears that someone erased the recipient's initials, written in pencil below the inscription.
[NB: This book is found in (at least) two types of cloth (a medium and a fine weave blue cloth), two colors of stamping on the spine and front board (black and gold).
None of the standard references for this title describe any of the variants. I suspect that these are actually separate printings, but much work would be required to put them in order.
