Notes: Hyperion is a science fiction space saga, the first volume in the Hyperion Cantos, and the winner of both the Hugo and Locus awards in 1990. One of the standout SF novels of the last quarter of the 20th century.

The first printing was issued in hardcover and paperback simultaneously with the hardcover printing frequently cited as just 2000 copies, a plausible but possibly unsubstantiated number. The book has gone on to sell more than a million copies worldwide, and it is, in any case, increasingly uncommon in this hardcover first edition.

Accompanying the first edition is an uncorrected proof in printed blue wrappers.

Edition + Condition: First edition (stated, hardcover issue). A near fine to fine copy in a dust jacket that is creased on the rear panel but is otherwise near fine. The proof is slightly spine-faded but is otherwise near fine. Both books are signed by Simmons on the title page.

These books come in a custom black-cloth clamshell box commissioned by the Texas collector Tom Garner.
