Notes: A modern-day vampire novel that sucks medical breakthroughs and a stolen baby into the plot. This was probably Lord John Press's most ambitious project—it is a full-sized novel and the print run was 776 signed copies (a run of 500 cloth-and-paper copies, a run of 200 deluxe quarter-leather copies, and 26 full-leather lettered copies). This is one of 200 quarterbound in leather over paper-covered boards decorated with moon graphics.

It is not clear to this cataloguer whether this limited edition came out before or after the Putnam's trade edition issued the same year.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first and only printing from Lord John Press). Tiny ding to one corner, else fine in a very good slipcase, which is showing some wear along the bottom. This is copy 10 of 200 signed by Simmons at the front of the book.
