Notes: A large catalog for the major exhibition held in 2010 at the Fondation Cartier—the first major Parisian retrospective of Jean Giraud’s work under his celebrated pseudonym Mœbius. The book reproduces original comic artwork, notebooks, paintings, and film storyboards, in some 250 color and black-and-white plates. Also included is an interview with the artist by Michel Cassé (in French), an essay by Alberto Manguel, and a bibliography and filmography.

The illustrated book specialist Stuart Ng says the print run of this book was 5,000 copies, which sold out before the exhibition ended.

303 pages. Roughly 10 by 12-1/2 inches.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first and only printing). Corners lightly bumped and covers a bit grubby, else near fine. Not issued in a dust jacket.
