Notes: A collection of short stories that had mostly appeared in magazines, each presented with a short introduction written for this volume. In addition to a regular trade paperback issue, there were 300 hardcover copies and an issue of 50 leather-bound numbered copies.

This set, assembled by the collector Tom Garner, includes signed copies of all three issues plus the original ribbon-copy typescript for Pentecostal Punk Rock, a 1989 story included in this collection.

The "leather" in the case of the 50-copy limited is a very thin leather-like coating to the boards. Nevertheless, an uncommon Lansdale item.

Edition + Condition: Present here is copy 25 of 50, fine, signed by Lansdale on the title page and inscribed on another page "To Randy"; a fine copy in a fine dust jacket of the hardcover (#126 of 300) signed on the title page, and a fine copy of the paperback issue, inscribed "To Tom" on the title page. The books are housed in a custom black-cloth clamshell box with a 19-leaf original typescript (1–18 + 10A), signed by Lansdale below the title. There are many leaves corrected with Wite-Out and handwritten changes, mostly small, in ink, on more than half the leaves. The typescript is accompanied by a short letter signed by Lansdale attesting that this is the only "typedraft" of this story.

A nicely presented group of variant issues with a relatively early story in Lansdale's career.
