Notes: This is one of a small number of copies (six based on the publisher's website?) issued as the Camelot Special Edition, which paired an original typescript for a story in this book with a first edition. The book and typescript are housed in a custom clamshell box. The book is the issue of 1000 numbered copies, signed on the limitation page; the typescript in this case is a six-page ribbon-copy typescript for the story "The Original Lengueenies." The typescript is fairly clean, with only a few typed and handwritten changes.

The book is volume 4 of the Lost Lansdale series, collecting 23 of Lansdale's early stories. 326 pages.

"Let's get one thing straight," notes the publisher on the front flap. "These stories aren't primo Lansdale. They're concoctions from the mad laboratory of one of today's finest novelists..." This volume includes eleven previously unpublished pieces. Each story is introduced by Lansdale.

Camelot Books specializes in Subterranean Press and has issued a few similar special editions.

Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing of the published book). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket; copy 893. The typescript is fine, signed on the first page by Lansdale with the note, "original." The clamshell box has wear at the corners.
