Edition + Condition: First edition (first and only Arkham House printing). A near fine or better copy in a very good dust jacket that is tanned and has small damp spots on the spine. Shallow snag at the top of the front panel. With the Lovecraft-inspired letterpress bookplate of the James Strand estate on the front pastedown.
This copy came from the important Arkham House collection assembled by James Strand of Portland, Oregon. After his death, in August 2023, his house was looted and most of his books were stolen. The FBI recovered this copy from a storage unit in Oregon City; the original evidence tag is laid in.
