Notes: The ARC of one of Stephen King's novels written under a pseudonym.

This issue was prepared for a booksellers' convention and is bound in black wrappers similar to the first printing dust jacket, but with a different rear cover giving the publication date (November 19, 1984) and the first print run, 50,000 (probably exaggerated).

Edition + Condition: Minor wear to corners; small surface scar, crease to spine. Publisher's sheet laid in along with note from Peter Schneider at Doubleday transmitting the galley. Uncommon with the publisher's sheet, describing "Bachman" as "an incredibly talented writer."

This copy comes from the collection of James Strand and it has his small estate bookplate on the inside front cover. This is one of the few items not stolen from his house after his death.
