Nielsen (1886–1957) was born in Denmark. He is best known for his work done in London, like this book, and then later in the United States. He worked for the Walt Disney Company on the animated films Fantasia, The Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty.
xii, 13–164 pages, plus the inserted illustration leaves.
Edition + Condition: First trade edition (preceeded by a signed, numbered issue). A near fine copy with some foxing to a few text leaves and scratches on the gilt edges. This copy has been rebound in full forest green morocco with all edges gilt. The spine is divided into six panels with false bands; each panel is stamped in gilt. The endpapers are marbled paper.
