Notes: One of just 26 lettered copies of the hardcover graphic novel edition of the first four installments in Alan Moore's 12-issue comic book series based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft.

This lettered issue was a premium for contributors at the highest level of the Kickstarter for Moore's Cinema Purgatorio graphic novel. They are signed by Moore and by the artist, Jacen Burrows, who added a small sketch (or remarque). The entire edition of Providence: Act I was just 6,666 copies.

Alan Moore is probably the most important writer for modern comics. His Watchmen is almost universally credited as the finest graphic novel. His work on Batman, Swamp Thing, V for Vendetta, and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen have been hugely popular and influential.

Edition + Condition: First edition (identified by no statement of second printing). This limited edition has a variant cover of the seated character Willard Wheatley available only to Kickstarter supporters; the trade issue has the character Robert Black standing amid monsters). A fine copy in illustrated boards; no dust jacket, as issued. This is copy A, signed by Moore and Burrows, with a Burrows sketch of the head of a tentacled Old One. Accompanied by a COA from the publisher.
