The Dreams Freud Dreamed

Publication: (N.-pl.): The Psychoanalytic Review, 1941. First Edition.

Notes: While best-known for his reinterpretation of ancient history and astrophysics, particularly the book, Worlds in Collision, Immanuel Velikovsky was a medical doctor trained who trained in analysis under one of Freud's pupils, Wilhelm Stekel. He published a number of papers on psychology before he emigrated to the United States. This paper, a consideration of Freud's dreams and their connection with his Jewish roots, was Velikovsky's first publication in the United States.

This is an offprint from The Psychoanalytic Review, vol. 28, no. 4 (October 1941), paginated 487 to 511.

Edition + Condition: First separate edition. A very good copy in self-wrappers, with some small tears near the staples. This copy is inscribed by Velikovsky in blue pencil at the top left of the front page, "A jewish problem compliments of Im Velikovsky." A very scarce Velikovsky publication, especially signed.
