Edition + Condition: First edition (stated first printing). A fine copy in a jacket with some wear at the top of the spine and a shallow snag on the bottom edge of the front panel.

Provenance: James Strand; stolen in August 2023; recovered by the FBI from a storage unit in Oregon City; returned to the family in August 2025. With the Strand estate bookplate on the front pastedown and the FBI evidence tag. A nice history for a book on crime writing.
