Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing with a numberline ending in 1, the DC logo in the upper left corner, and a cover price of $10.95). Signed by Moore on the title page. Moore seldoms appears at comic cons or bookstores and signed first editions of his key graphic novels (this book, Watchmen, V for Vendetta) are extremely scarce. A very good copy (probably comics FN) with minor color breaks to the black covers. Mild spine lean.

This is the DC Comics version for comics retailers published during the summer of 1987. The positive reception of the book, issued near the beginning of the modern graphic novel era, compelled another edition from Warner Books for bookstores. That edition, with a different ISBN and cover art, came out in November and is often mistaken for the first edition.
