Edition + Condition: First edition (first and only Arkham printing). A fine, tight copy in a dust jacket with the white spine lettering tanned and minor stains and edgewear to the covers. With the Lovecraft-inspired letterpress bookplate of the James Strand estate on the front pastedown.
This copy came from the important Arkham House collection assembled by James Strand of Portland, Oregon. After his death, in August 2023, his house was looted and most of his books were stolen. Some were subsequently recovered by the FBI. This book was among those not taken by thieves.
