Includes Rage
The Bachman Books: Rage, The Long Walk, Roadwork, The Running Man
Publication: New York: New American Library / NAL, 1985. Later printing.
Notes: This crucial omnibus collects four novels published under King's Richard Bachman pseudonym, featuring two elements never reprinted: the original version of his essay "Why I Was Bachman" and the complete text of Rage. After several school shooters cited Rage as an influence, King allowed it to go out of print permanently.
692 pages.
Edition + Condition: Fourth printing (with a number line ending in 4). This is a very good copy of the original paperback edition of this omnibus (the first paperback printing was issued simultaneously with the hardcover). Some loss to the metallic stamping on the cover; generally very good.
This copy comes from the collection of James Strand, a major horror-book collector, and it has his small estate bookplate on the inside front cover.
