First Printing of the First Dark Tower Book
The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger [DT I]
Publication: West Kingston, RI: Donald M. Grant, 1982. First Edition.
Notes: The first edition of the first book in the perennially popular series; in a very good example of the correct dust jacket ($20 / $60 price). Stephen King revised the novel in 2003; these early Grant editions are the only way to get the original text.
Illustrated by Michael Whelan with five full-page color plates.
[1–10] 11–224 pages. Bound in maroon cloth.
Edition + Condition: First edition (stated) in the correct first printing dust jacket with both the trade ($20) and limited edition ($60) prices on the front flap. The book is near fine; the jacket is bumped at the spine ends, with a couple of short tears and wear to the top edge of the jacket, particularly on the rear panel.
Item No: #366247
Price: $2,400
