This ambitious collection honors science fiction and fantasy grandmaster Jack Vance through original stories set in his Dying Earth universe. The anthology assembles works by authors who were influenced by Vance's creation, including Neil Gaiman, Dan Simmons (a new novella), Robert Silverberg, Mike Resnick, and Kage Baker. Dean Koontz contributed an appreciation, while Vance himself provided an introduction.

One of 500 copies signed and numbered by the contributors, from a total edition of 2000 copies (including 1474 unsigned hardcovers and 26 lettered copies). Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. The page block has sagged a bit, pulling away at the top of the spine; the spine lettering on the jacket has faded from yellow to white. The original slipcase is near fine to fine. This is copy 35. The fading is not immediately apparent but is obvious when you have another, unfaded copy to compare with.
