Notes: A scarce advance copy of the British edition of McCarthy's magnum opus. One of likely fewer than 300 copies manufactured ahead of the 3,000-copy first printing (per The McCarthyist).

Edition + Condition: Uncorrected proof on "proofing paper." A very scarce issue, preceding the first UK edition. Graded near fine because it is not absolutely perfect, but it's close. The major flaw is a very small spot on the rear cover.

This copy can be distinguished from the forged copies of this proof in two ways: 1) the color of the wrappers is on the orange side of red; 2) the box enclosing the proofing paper text on the cover is 1-1/8 inches tall. Forgeries are bound in red wrappers and the box on the front cover is slightly larger.
