Edition + Condition: First edition (first printing, with a numberline ending in 1). A fine copy in a very good dust jacket, tanned at the spine and with tape repairs on the back (verso) at the top and bottom of the spine. This copy is inscribed by Burke, "To Tom, All the best, James Lee Burke." This copy is from the late collector Tom Garner's collection and is housed in one of his distinctive black-cloth clamshell boxes, which has faded to gray at the spine.
There are three binding variants; priority unknown. This copy is bound in beige cloth stamped in black and copper on the spine.
