Edition + Condition: First edition (first and only Arkham House printing). Second state dust jacket ($5.00 price sticker), not recorded in Jaffrey. A fine copy in a very near fine jacket with very minor wear along the bottom edge. With the Lovecraft-inspired letterpress bookplate of the James Strand estate on the front pastedown.
This copy came from the important Arkham House collection assembled by James Strand of Portland, Oregon. After his death, in August 2023, his house was looted and most of his books were stolen. Some were subsequently recovered by the FBI. This book was among those not taken by thieves.
