Notes: A three-volume edition of Dante with a new verse translation by Allen Mandelbaum facing the original Italian. The books are illustrated from drawings by Barry Moser (42 + 35 +19 = 96 total). Moser considered doing a fine press edition through his Pennyroyal Press but abandoned the project.
xxvi, 309; xxx, 305; xxii, 307 pages.
Edition + Condition: All three volumes are first editions (first printings, with no indication of later printings). All three are fine in fine jackets, or very nearly so. All three are signed by Moser on the title page. Inferno has a compliments of the press card laid in; Purgatorio has a review slip and a press photograph of one of the illustrations laid in. Signed sets are uncommon.
